FALCON CREST Travel Guide

On August 14, 2017, the DFCF released its new travel guide consisting of four volumes with detailed information about the filming locations of "Falcon Crest".

Not only the major locations, such as Spring Mountain Vineyard and Stags' Leap Winery, are covered, but many more filming sites.
The publication is not a mere illustrated listing of locations, but a real travel guide with advice for routing, overviews of opening hours, recommendations for the best photo spots and much more.

The travel guide is published in four volumes — you can choose from double-sided printed books in A 5 format (coil binding) or e-books (*.pdf). The volumes are in full color with the exception of very few historic black & white photos. The index is in black & white only.
Volume I presents the filming locations in Northern California's Wine Country, the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
Volume II features San Francisco and its surroundings.
Volume III covers filming sites in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Volume IV is an insightful presentation of both movie studios used for "Falcon Crest": Warner Bros. Studios and CBS Studio Center; historic documentation of both studios is included also. The volume about the studios also presents LORIMAR's art department's original floor plans of some of the major interior sets.
Due to the many locations, a separate, supplementary index booklet provides you with indices of place names. The first index primarily lists the real-life names of the filming locations with the corresponding settings; the second index is a reverse listing. That way, you can easily identify the places in both directions. Both indices refer you to the chapters in the four volumes where you can find all the details about the locations.

Each e-newsletter type can be downloaded in two different resolutions — a higher resolution for bigger display screens (printable editions optimized for prints not larger than A 4) and, upon request if needed, a compressed version for mobile devices (tablet computers and cell phones). All *.pdf files are optimized for Microsoft Windows and Android.
Download & print editions are downloadable and printable *.pdf files with a watermark on prints for copyright protection; the watermark is not displayed on screen.
Download & read editions are downloadable *.pdf files that are readable only, but not printable.
For e-newsletters, a specific URL and a password will be sent to you via e-mail so you can download and open the file.
