Tentative title: Runaway Stock Shots.

The street in North Beach district in San Francisco where the Safari Room is located was an exterior set on the backlot of CBS-MTM STUDIOS (now RADFORD STUDIO CENTER). It was built on My Three Sons Street near stage 11. For later filming in that set, refer to # 165, 183, 185 and 223. This set, however, was completely revamped around 2003.
Another bar on that street is called Little Mike's.
LORIMAR's original blueprints of this set and many others are available for DFCF members in the Show – Production Office – Filming Locations – Movie Studios – Exterior Sets section.

As Arnie Sardi, the Safari Room manager, suggested in the previous episode, Melissa's pseudonym is now Veronique the Seductive Socialite.

Eric and Vickie's suite at the Del Oro is the usual interior set used for any suite at the spa (compare # 132, 141 and 151). As usual, only minor changes in the furniture and other equipment were made to match budget criteria.
LORIMAR's original blueprints of this set and many others are available for DFCF members in the Show – Production Office – Filming Locations – Movie Studios – Interior Sets section.

Product placement: Eric and Vickie drink Perrier-Jouët Champagne (Fleur de Champagne).

The script initially suggested Gabrielle having a nickname, Gabby, which, however, never made it to the final version that went on the air.

Fred Wilkinson speaks of the "Gioberti Cumson Winery". This is probably no official company name, but only an informal term used by Wilkinson for the winery — as a part of the Gioberti Enterprises holding. It is still called Gioberti Winery.

Tony's inmate number at the Tuscany County Jail is 3356.

The establishing shot of Geneva / Switzerland — a southwestern view over the Pont du Mont-Blanc towards the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre — is stock footage from a movie library.
The balcony in Geneva where Meredith makes her phone call with Richard is actually an exterior set specifically built for that purpose near the lagoon at CBS-MTM STUDIOS (now RADFORD STUDIO CENTER; refer to # 113 in particular).
LORIMAR's original map of this part of the studio lot is available for DFCF members in the Show – Production Office – Filming Locations – Movie Studios – Exterior Sets section.

Mistake: In the scene in the bedroom at the Gioberti House, Maggie places the statue on the mantelpiece of the fireplace first. In the subsequent frame filmed from across, however, the statue is closer to the flower arrangement. The statue's position changes from frame to frame depending on the direction of the camera.
Once again, this is the typical mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

The Falcon Crest Winery Building interior set looks different from the usual room used during the last few years (compare the first screen capture from # 124). The new room (second photo) featured in this episode, however, is built of the very same, but rearranged elements.
The same goes for the set of the room in the basement of the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion used for Chao-Li's meditation and tai-chi-chuan exercises (third screen grab); also refer to # 151 for that training room.

The characteristic stained glass window, which can be discovered in the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion from time to time (compare # 069, 099 and 155), can be seen among several pieces of stored goods in the gym in the Victorian Mansion's basement this episode.

Dr. Nu, Chao-Li's doctor, was originally called Dr. Wo in early script drafts.

Dr. Nu's practice is located in the Canton Bazaar building on Grant Street in Chinatown in San Francisco.

Mistake: Dr. Nu's hand can be seen in the lower right corner of the screen in the acupuncture scene (filmed towards Lance and Chao-Li). But in the next frame filmed from across, the doctor is standing a few steps back.
Once again, this is the typical mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

Inside joke: Chao-Li's acupuncture treatment is an allusion to the fact that CHAO-LI CHI (the actor) served as a lecturer at the California Acupuncture College in Santa Barbara, CA for many years.

Post-production mistake: The view of the tree-lined main driveway to Falcon Crest — a view over the vineyards of Stags' Leap to Shafer in real life — introducing a scene taking place at Vince and Emma's home is an inconsistency. Vince's Victorian house is situated in downtown Tuscany, not near Falcon Crest.
Compare # 132 for a similar error.

Product placement: In the kitchen of Vince and Emma's house, various products are visible behind Wendell, including Lipton Tea (yellow arrow) and Cucamonga Organic Honey (green arrow).

Emma's assets: $ 40 million. Also refer to # 123.

Dan's cabin — a run-down place at this time, which was previously owned by Angela through her Tuscany Land Company — is the same set, Duchess Ranch, on the backlot of CBS-MTM STUDIOS (now RADFORD STUDIO CENTER) used as Jeff's cabin between # 122 and 130 (side wing; check out # 122 for details), as the cabin where Vickie and Jeff spent the weekend in # 132, and as Crawley's (Dan's lawyer) home in # 142. For the later use as the Ortega house, refer to # 188.

The poster on the wall in Wilkinson's office advertizes the exhibition "Transformations in Modern Architecture", which took place at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York between February 23 and April 24, 1979.

The county seal known from # 145 (compare there) is on a sign on the wall behind Wilkinson's desk. Again, it reads "Tuscany County".

Mistake: Although Wilkinson's office is located in Tuscany, the window offers a view of some skyscrapers, which apparently do not exist there. The art department chose a wrong photographed backdrop (translight) behind the window in the interior set — the backing actually shows the 611 Place highrise and one of the office towers of what is nowadays City National Plaza (ARCO Plaza at the time) in Downtown Los Angeles, photographed in western direction.

The vat spanner, the murder weapon in the Saunders case, is found on the property line between Falcon Crest and the "Cumson vineyard" — most likely Keys Creek as a part of the Gioberti Enterprises holding. So they must be neighboring estates.
