Cast and crew background: RAY GOLDSTONE, one of the two writers of this episode, is the new supervising ANN MARCUS' brother. She has been working on the show since # 056.

Product placement: Lance wears a polo shirt by Polo Ralph Lauren.

This episode makes it very clear that parts of the sets are movable walls that can be rearranged or completely removed. Two parts of Joseph's nursery set in the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion are not put in their exact places this time (see yellow mark).

Props: The chairs in the turret area of the Gioberti House living room are from the same stack of prop chairs usually used in the tasting room at the Falcon Crest Winery Building (compare screen grab 1 from # 061).

Prop: Physicians and Surgeons Bulletin is a fictional professional journal for doctors.

Edited scene: Angela's breakfast on the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion terrace at the beginning of act 2 was initially longer: The scene started with Chao-Li realizing how worried Angie is about Julia and encouraging her. The scene was completely filmed, but edited in post-production to stay in the one-hour program frame on CBS. In the final version of the episode, however, Angela's smile as a reaction to Chao-Li's encouraging words can still be seen at the very beginning of the segment.

Uncredited stand-in GORDON HODGINS appears as an extra again — this time in his usual rôle as a Tuscany Valley gentleman, passing by the entrance of The New San Francisco Globe.
Compare # 182 for a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about GORDON HODGINS, compare # 001.

The foyer of the New Globe headquarters is portrayed by the main lobby of the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles (nowadays called Millennium Biltmore Hotel). It is different from the smaller lobby in the side wing used in # 041 (compare there).

Early script drafts staged the scene in the New Globe foyer with Richard, Pamela and Ron Lafferty at the Tuscany Downs construction site.

The filming location for the Tuscany Valley club house where Carter St. John presents his architectural project is an assembly room at the Sheraton Town House Hotel in Los Angeles.

Uncredited extra SHARRI ZAK appears as the gray-haired Tuscany Valley socialite with the pony tail again; this episode attending Carter St. John's presentation.
Compare # 202 for biographical details about this rôle and a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 009.

Uncredited extra PAUL VAN appears in his usual rôle as the mustached Tuscany Valley doctor again — this time at Carter St. John's presentation.
Compare # 227 for biographical details about this minor rôle and a list of all his appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 014.

Uncredited extra ROBERTA STORM appears in this episode again as Mrs. Winslow — this time at Carter's presentation.
Compare # 219 for biographical details about this minor rôle and a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 035.

Uncredited extra IAN BRUCE participates again as the chestnut-haired guy with a receding hairline — this time working as a bartender at Carter St. John's presentation.
Compare # 227 for a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 022.

Original script drafts had a police officer named Buck (played by JOHN CRAWFORD) get to know Julia at Lucas' farm in this episode. This scene, however, did not make it to the final version of this episode. The storyline was moved to # 065, and the Officer Buck character was remodeled into Deputy Scott (TOM McFADDEN).

Uncredited stand-in MARTHA MANOR appears as an extra again — as a Tuscany Valley Hospital nurse again, now in yet a different blond wig.
Compare # 213 for a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about MARTHA MANOR, compare # 001.

The red Volvo 242 DL sedan (compare # 055 for details) is used as a prop again; it is parked on the street near Linda and Cole's house this time (red arrow).

Further back on this street, the golden Ford Maverick, a well known picture car, is parked (yellow arrow; check # 001 for details).

Mistake: In the scene in front of Cole and Linda's house, Joseph's position is different in the wide angle shot and the subsequent close-up.
This is a mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

The street number of Cole and Linda's house is 421.

Early script drafts planned for Lance not to give up after being rejected by Terry on the phone. They included a scene in which he would appear at Michael's house in order to talk Terry into another sexual encounter, but she would throw him out.
Script revisions changed the location to a café: Lance comes on to Terry again, but she rejects him. This version of the scene was filmed outside the Sheraton Town House Hotel in L.A., but removed in post-production.

Deleted scene: Another scene that was filmed, but did not become part of the final version of the episode was Angela's frustration about too many winery workers being busy riddling the bottles of Cole and Chase's Champagne project in the Falcon Crest Winery Building; this scene also included winery foreman Ben Thompson (J. VICTOR LOPEZ), who eventually appeared in # 063 in the final version.

The establishing shot of Lake Tahoe is stock footage from a film library. It is a view of Tahoe Village, NV in northern direction, zooming in on Harrah's Lake Tahoe Resort & Casino.

The little lake and the woods in the scene with Richard and Pamela near Lake Tahoe is portrayed by the small pond on the backlot of THE BURBANK STUDIOS (WARNER BROS. STUDIOS).

The establishing shot of the hotel and casino in Tahoe where Richard and Pamela are is stock footage from a film library. It features Harvey's Resort & Casino in Tahoe Village, NV. The building was completely remodeled since then.

The Lake Tahoe casino where Richard and Pamela spend the evening is actually at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles (see above for this filming location).

Uncredited extra GAYLE FRANK, who plays a court stenographer in the series, is a patron at the Lake Tahoe casino in this episode.
Compare # 215 for a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 017.

The filming location for Richard and Pamela's suite at the Lake Tahoe hotel is a suite at the Sheraton Town House Hotel in Los Angeles.

The scene with Lance and Phillip in downtown San Francisco is actually filmed on Pershing Square in front of the Biltmore Hotel (nowadays Millennium Biltmore Hotel) in Los Angeles (compare # 043 for a similar scene with Richard and Phillip).

Early script drafts staged the San Francisco scene with Lance and Phillip in Phillip's office.

Inside joke: Besides Maggie Gioberti's name (room 106), the prop patient list at the Tuscany Valley Hospital contains names of a few uncredited crew members, including CARMINE GOGLIA (room 105), the painters' foreman in the show's construction department, CARL CASSARA (room 101), CAROL DeCARR (room 103) and FRANK DiPANNI (room 104) from the swing gang as well as KATHY HAY (misspelled "Haye" on the prop; room 107), one of the assistant prop masters.
