The original filming schedule planned for this episode to be shot between 01/11 and 01/19/1983. Parts of this episode were brought forward though to be photographed during the original filming schedule for # 037 (12/30/1983 through 01/10/1983) since JANE WYMAN was on sick leave between 01/06 through 01/12/1983. Therefore, scenes from the current episode were photographed early on 01/06, 01/07 and 01/10/1983 while scenes from # 037 involving JANE were postponed to 01/13/1983. See # 037 for more details.

Season time frame: Angela was in Paris for less than one week. So it still has to be around the end of January 1983.

The tattoo on LORENZO LAMAS' right shoulder can be seen again (compare # 035 and 036).

The establishing clip of Paris — a view of the Arc de Triomphe from Avenue Kléber in northeastern direction — is stock footage from a movie library.

The filming location for the Café Michel, the sidewalk café in Paris (scene with Angie and Phillip), is the building at the south-western corner of Midwestern Street (nowadays Midwest Street) and French Street on THE BURBANK STUDIOS (WARNER BROS. STUDIOS) backlot. It is adjacent to the building that portrays the Tuscany County Building.

Maggie's movie script is entitled "Tangled Vines". Inside joke: "The Tangled Vines" is the title of # 003.

The filming location for the café at the Tuscany Valley Inn is a room at The Blue Room, the commissary of THE BURBANK STUDIOS (nowadays WARNER BROS. STUDIOS). A different room of the commissary was used in # 035 and 037 (compare there) as a coffee shop on Main Street in Tuscany. The interiors of the commissary look completely different nowadays.

Early script drafts contained more scenes concerning Julia's thoughts about leaving Falcon Crest, which were omitted in the final version:
  • Removed from act 1 (in later drafts, act 2) was a scene with Julia, Lance and Apollo on the veranda of the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion. Julia is having fruit and cheese for lunch, Lance is working with Apollo. Lance discusses Tony with his mother — and her opportunity to start over with him.
  • Also omitted was a night scene on the veranda (act 3) when first Lance and then Emma talk to Julia. Lance says he finally located Tony in Venezuela. Emma concludes that her sister can leave Falcon Crest to be with Tony, but she will never be free unless she faces Angela.

Deleted scenes: The following filmed segments were removed from act 1 in post-production:
  • Vickie and Nick are in a hot tub in the backyard of Nick's house. Maggie visits them to talk about their wedding plans.
  • Angela and Phillip arrive in New York on the plane from Paris at night. While their baggage is loaded into a limousine's trunk in front of a building at John F. Kennedy Airport, Angela orders Phillip to set up an appointment with Henri Denault for the following morning.
Interior and exterior shots at the building at John F. Kennedy were filmed at building 137 at the BURBANK STUDIOS (WARNER BROS. STUDIOS). The same building was used in as the V.I.P. Terminal of Allied International Airlines at San Francisco International Airport in # 024 (compare there for more details on the building).

The establishing clip (stock footage from a film library) of New York features a building that is different from the Whitewood Industries headquarters (compare # 019). Obviously, Henri Denault has another office there.
It is actually the River House, an apartment building in Manhattan in New York City (filmed in southeastern direction).

Identical props: The white double-seater sofa and one of the matching armchairs in Henri's Whitewood Industries office in New York City were previuosly used in Richard's Whitewood Industries office in # 019.

Product placement: Cole wears Nike sneakers.

The filming location for the park in Tuscany where Cole, Linda and Rip run into Lance, Melissa and Joseph is the Van Nuys / Sherman Oaks Recreation Center in Sherman Oaks, CA. The scene was filmed in the area near the corner of Huston Street and Hazeltine Avenue.

The original name for Rip, Linda's golden retriever, was Barney in early script drafts.

Emma drives a blue-gray 1982 Ford Escort Wagon now.

Uncredited extra KEVIN G. TRACEY appears as the thick-eyebrowed Tuscany Valley gentleman again — this time as a patron in the restaurant at the Tuscany Valley Inn.
Compare # 185 for a list of all his appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 001.

Uncredited extra JULIE SALLES participates again as the brunette Tuscany Valley socialite in her 20's — this episode near The New San Francisco Globe where she works in her day job.
This clip of the New Globe comes from the series of establishing shots filmed while shooting # 020; this is the only time filming was done for the show at that location. This establishing shot will be reused many times during the series; repeat uses of this exact same clip with JULIE SALLES will not be listed in this section.
Compare # 167 for biographical details about this minor rôle and a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 020.

Early script drafts contained the following scenes, which were omitted in rewrites:
  • A scene for act 3 had Maggie work on her script with pencil and notepaper at a picnic table. Vickie asks Maggie to help her convince Chase that her relationship with Nick is right.
  • An act 4 segment suggested Vickie be doing garden work in the front yard of the Hogan house. Visiting her, Chase says he does not want to lose her.

Henri Denault falls to his death from the Gorman Bridge in the Tuscany Valley.
The filming location is the bridge over Lower Big Tujunga on Tujunga Canyon Road in Greater L.A.

For Henri's fall, E.G. MARSHALL is replaced by stunt double DAR ROBINSON.
