Dear Thomas,
So wonderful to hear from you.
I treasure all my "Falcon Crest" friends I've made along the way.
I hope you enjoyed your NYC vacation. Did you get the snow?
I received a few photos from my friends in NYC and Pennsylvania with beautiful photos of the snowy landscapes.
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Xmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year.
Please keep in touch and be well.
X Jane

Thomas --
Great to hear from you... and glad to hear your still a travelin' man and doing well.
We've been very, very busy this year with five online screenplay competitions, a new book in the works, and getting a granddaughter ready for the college world.
Here's wishing you a joyous and healthy New Year!
(I still hear from FC fans on a regular basis... thanks to your efforts!)
All the best,
Bob

Merry Christmas to you also.
I am now allowed to go to Spring Mountain and it has helped me heal. The new group MGG has been doing amazing things and they do everything very well. Do you realize Spring Mountain is the size of Central Park in New York and when the finish they will have 500 acres of vineyards. They have created new gardens and have been cleaning up everything. I am so grateful! The house is still exactly like we left it except for paint colors [...]. Lorenzo Lamas had stopped by...
Most wineries are having a struggle today but not Spring Mountain. It's going to be really stunning... one of the finest in whole valley.
Thank you,
Susan Robbins
CHIP CORBIN,
Directors Guild of America trainee (season 2):

Hi Thomas — great to hear from you. Funny because I was just watching another season of Nürnberger Christkindlesmarkt on YouTube with my wife and was thinking of you. Also Vienna as my wife lived there for a few years. Beautiful. I'm hoping to see it in person in another year or so. Your country certainly knows how to do Christmas! I guess having invented it helps.
[...] I wish you the best for the season and the upcoming year. Stay in touch!
Best,
Chip
DONNA GOLDBERG ALBERT,
executive producers' assistant (seasons 6 through 9):

Dear Thomas,
Thank you for your email. I send my best wishes to you and Dörthe for a healthy and peaceful year.

STEPHEN BLACK & HENRY STERN,
writers, executive script consultants and co-producers (seasons 2, 3 and 8):

Dear Thomas and Dörthe,
It was so nice to open your email and see your picture. Henry and I are glad your visit to NYC was wonderful. We too love NYC at Christmas as well as spring, fall. Winter isn't our favorite but it is our cold East Coast climate. I remember the scene of chestnuts roasting on braziers on various corners. Don't know if that too has gone the way of so many American traditions. [...]
We ignore much of the political news [...]. We are going on a reposition crossing in April on a ship we've been eager to try. Miami to Barcelona. Not an exciting itinerary after several similar crossings, but the ship Explora promises to be an exceptional ship. We are wondering if you are still deeply involved with keeping the memory of "Falcon Crest" alive. [...] Thank you for remembering us at this wonderful time. We have fond memories of our pre Christmas time in Germany as we prepared for our ZDF show in 1978.
Wishing you both a truly great holiday in New York. Hugs.
Steve and Henry

Sorry for my belated response! Thank you for your lovely holiday greetings...
I can't believe it's been 44 years since I started on the "new show" — i.e. "Falcon Crest". My daughter, Brooke turns 44 tomorrow and I was pregnant with her when Bill Conti and I spotted the pilot for music. And I'm still at it! I'm very lucky to have loved my work so much — not ready to quit!
New York is indeed wonderful during the holidays — i was there just before Xmas 2023 — doing a final mix on a film called "Exhibiting Forgiveness".
Wishing you all the best in 2026!
Best,
Joanie

Greetings, Thomas...
It's always a pleasure to hear from you!
I'm glad you enjoyed New York (where I was born and grew up through high school). I miss it dearly. It is, as you said, especially magical around the holidays — even in this particularly peculiar and disturbing time in US history.
On the west coast, we're bracing for what promises to be a flood-inducing storm (from tonight straight through the day after Christmas). Hopefully the power will stay on and we can enjoy dinner tomorrow night in the warmth and dryness of our house, along with our two grown-up "children", my sister, her husband, my nephew, his wife and their 3-year-old daughter.
I echo your thoughts and wish you and yours a joyful, healthy and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
Best as always,
Jeff
